Infographic - Interviewing Techniques
This podcast is associated with the infographic previously presented under the Visual Design section of this eLearning portfolio (shown above). The podcast and infographic both support learners (corporate executives and spokespeople) as they explore different strategies on how to “meet the media” and control the media interview process. These are designed as easy reference job aids to apply effective communication tactics when participating in media interviews.

This podcast, accompanied by the infographic, applies five of Mayer's 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning.

1. Signaling Principle - with cues signaling the organization of the essential material.
2. Spatial Contiguity Principle - presenting both the podcast and the infographic on the same page or screen.
3. Modality Principle - presenting graphics and narration instead of animation and on-screen text.
4. Personalization Principle - words are in conversational rather than formal style.
5. Voice Principle - spoken in a friendly human voice rather than a machine voice.
